No one comes and you don't make any money! Wisdom from Mstr 10

Purpose of post : It's the last day of school before the summer holidays, and I'm indulging in writing a blog post with a coffee on the sofa just because I can + a little background into why I've decided to cancel my Edinburgh monthly mindful silent disco

from the mouths of babes!

Last Friday I collected my son from school and reminded him that tonight was Edinburgh Disco night. I response 'ohhh, I hate Edinburgh Disco, I don't want to go, you should cancel it because no one comes and you don't make any money, in fact it probably costs you money by the time you drive there and book, hire the room and spend all that time - why don't you just stay home and do something, you would probably make £100'! #boom

I offloaded my son to the neighbour, hoofed it off to Edinburgh and opened the sharing circle by sharing that this would be my final Edinburgh monthly disco for the foreseeable! Just like that. Not entirely down to my sons reflections, flipping loved that class AND more change is needed.

I've also been dealing with a crazy strange discomfort in my body and a crazy drop in energy - I'm off for an appt with my Bodyworker pal Azra of Integrative Holistic Practice in Burntisland shortly to get her take on the situation.

It feels like not only that my time and attention is required on the home front (my babes and my happiness and wellbeing is my biggest priority this year) but my body is literally saying 'I don't feel great and you need to slow down'. It's a difficult one as I love the discos, the community, everything about it pretty much AND I am serious about paying attention.

I've been running the Edinburgh discos for over 4 years. Infact, I've still not heard back from 4 of the longstanding regulars that classes have stopped. It's crazy that the night I decided to stop that none of them were there - perhaps I would have put my needs aside had they been their and instead been swept up in the Friday disco frenzy of 'come on lets make it work'.

Some of the shennanigans from the last Edinburgh Disco, this is Lindsay and her captivating and hypnotic glove/cape dance! #Gold

Sometimes in life even though we want to keep doing something it's just not the right thing to be doing - this feels like another one of those times.

I want to finish this brief (but sweet) post by sharing some of the gorgeous memories of the past 4 years

There is sooooooo much love in my heart for all you angels and remember, this is not goodbye, it's just a wee tweak needing to be made so that the necessary changes are possible.

in closing

I'm beyond grateful for all the times and ways I've been able to connect with such glorious people on this magic carpet ride involving community and movement in this sweet lifetime!

AND

Pay attention to the little people in your lives, they're often wiser than we give them credit for.
