ABOUT
3 CORE PILLARS DEEP DIVE
Safety, Trust, Choice, Collaboration, Empowerment
Core Pillar 1
The Trauma-Informed foundation of safety
Trauma is not just about what happened to you. It’s about what your nervous system learned it had to do to survive.
-
A trauma-informed approach:
-
Prioritises emotional and physical safety
-
Works at the pace your nervous system can integrate
-
Respects your boundaries, consent and autonomy
-
Understands that symptoms are intelligent adaptations, not failures
-
This work is gentle, but it is not superficial. It creates change at the root level, not just in behaviour or mindset.
A nervous-system-led approach to healing and growth
When your nervous system feels under threat, it doesn’t matter how much you “want” to change, your body will prioritise protection.
In our work together, we focus on:
-
Building internal safety
-
Reducing chronic stress and hypervigilance
-
Incorporating presence
-
Turning challenges into opportunities for growth
-
Increasing capacity for presence, connection and choice
-
Cultivating self-compassion
-
Gently unwinding long-held patterns of self-criticism, people-pleasing or collapse
You learn to carry this work into the rest of your life and from this place, change starts to happen naturally and sustainably.
Who this work is for
Trauma-informed coaching can be especially supportive if you:
-
Feel anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out
-
Live with chronic stress or chronic pain
-
Feel emotionally “stuck” or disconnected
-
Struggle with self-criticism, collapse or over-functioning
-
Have a history of difficult experiences, even if you “function well”
-
Are highly sensitive or neurodivergent
-
Are moving through major life transitions (menopause, separation, identity shifts, etc.)
-
-
You don’t need a dramatic story to deserve support. Nervous systems don’t measure trauma in headlines.
Being highly sensitive is not a weakness
it’s a deep capacity for awareness, empathy, and insight.
We explore how sensitivity shows up in your life — from overwhelm and empathy fatigue to energy drain — and develop practical ways to manage your energy, set boundaries, and protect your nervous system.
I also support highly sensitive, neurodivergent people to honour their unique way of thinking, build professional confidence, strengthen leadership, and communicate needs clearly.
My work supports you to understand your sensitivity, rather than override it.
This work is about integration. Turning overwhelm into intuitive leadership, self-trust, and grounded success that fits who you are.
I also offer compassionate support for parents raising sensitive children. Informed by my passion for child development, this guidance helps you understand your child’s needs while supporting your own nervous system — so sensitivity is nurtured as a strength, not managed as a problem.
What is somatic coaching and embodiment work?
-
Works with sensation, movement and awareness
-
Helps release stress and stored tension from the nervous system
-
Builds a safer, more trusting relationship with your body
-
Supports regulation, grounding and emotional integration
This is not fitness.
This is not performance.
This is listening and responding to the body with respect.
How the body holds stress, trauma and emotion
When experiences are too much or too fast, the body adapts:
-
Muscles brace
-
Breath patterns change
-
Systems stay in survival mode
Over time, this can show up as:
-
Chronic pain
-
Fatigue
-
Tension
-
Disconnection or shutdown
-
Feeling “stuck” or not quite here
