🫶🏼 A Note to Parents & carers
Parenting has been one of my greatest growth journeys — at times lonely, challenging, and full of self-doubt, but also deeply rewarding. Raising my son (mostly as a single parent, far from family in New Zealand) has inspired me to seek support for myself, for him, and for us together.
Along the way, I’ve trained in therapeutic dance (Nia), transformational coaching with Dr Sarah Madigan, and trauma-informed approaches, and I’m currently completing Trauma-Informed Practice training with Fife College.
These experiences shape the work I deliver through SHINE, where my passion is to create spaces of support, growth, and connection for children, parents and carers — so you don’t have to walk this path alone.
🧡 What is SHINE?
An intimate and nurturing, 9-week SHINE experience is designed for 4 children aged 5-12. These sessions offer deeper connection, trust, understanding and emotional expansion. This is a safe, celebratory space where children can build on the skills and confidence gained during the school-based SHINE program—with the added layer of support for you as a parent or carer.
Each session blends movement, time in nature, games, food preparation, and nervous system regulation practices, giving children a balance of play, grounding, and creativity.
A core element is the sharing circle, where children take turns to speak about their week, their day, or something personally meaningful. They’re also encouraged to bring items to share with the group. This helps build confidence, turn taking, communication skills, and accountability in a supportive environment. Over time, children grow in confidence, connection, and self-awareness, supported by both the group dynamic and gentle facilitation.
What Parents Receive
Parents are an integral part of the Shine Sessions journey. Before their child begins, parents complete a comprehensive questionnaire that helps Bronwyn gain valuable insights and create an atmosphere of trust and safety for every child.
Throughout the program, parents are invited to reach out with any queries, and they receive a midway and end-of-program report that clearly outlines how their child is engaging and developing within the sessions. At the close of the program, parents are invited to complete an end-of-program survey, giving constructive feedback that helps shape and improve Shine Sessions, while also ensuring that any final reflections or needs are addressed. Parents consistently share that these reports are incredibly valuable in understanding their child’s growth.
SHINE parents appreciate the programs intimacy and child focused approach.
The program also includes 1-2-1 coaching sessions between Bronwyn and parents, offering a supportive space to reflect, gain tools, and feel championed in the important work of parenting. These sessions not only provide practical support but also recognise and celebrate the wonderful job parents are already doing.

4 weeks of in-person child sessions (1.5 hours)
1 week integration break
4 weeks of in-person child sessions (1.5 hours)
2 hours of 1:1 online coaching for parents and/or carers (via Zoom) Delivered in 30–60 min sessions—flexible and personal to you

Children who have completed the SHINE-in-Schools program and are ready to explore deeper emotional awareness, social connection, and personal growth—with the encouragement of a small, nurturing group. AND parents of these children who would benefit from a safe and powerful space to be heard, supported and championed on their parenting journeys.
Group size: Max 4 children This ensures personalised attention, deep trust, and meaningful friendships.
