About the event

THIS EVENT IS A CELEBRATION OF NATURE & COMMUNITY!

A collaboration of sorts between Jason Munnelly & yours truly (me/Bron).  We decided to create this mini wellbeing festival as a way to slow down a little and have some quality time with yourself and other folk in the great outdoors.

You will learn some traditional craft techniques, gather around a cosy fire to share food, warm drinks and beautiful conversation. A wholesome 5 days to ground down, feel part of a community and leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

Jason will introduce you to the craft of Green Woodworking, which uses fresh felled wood and traditional hand tools and methods. With the absence of noisy machinery and dust there is a wonderful opportunity to experience the meditative quality and presence that crafts provide. No experience is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to dive in and get your hands dirty, so to speak. There will be a few different project options depending on your ability and experience. There will be opportunities throughout the day to work in silence to help us to really tune into the present moment and be mindful of the task we are doing. Something we rarely do in our busy lives with all of its distractions. We will take time to slow down and really connect with nature and the sense of grounding it provides.

Join us as we celebrate the support that Mother Earth offers us. Let us explore the ways that trees maintain a natural balance in our minds, bodies and spirits and how they can help us to unearth our inner yearnings, our hopes and dreams.

TBC: 'Guided Reiki energy session with Alison Peacock'

Join Ali, a reiki energy worker, as she guides the group through an hour of energy work. Beginning with a Hatsu Rei Ho meditation - the daily foundation of all reiki energy work. As part of that you’ll learn Kenyoku - a dry bathing technique for ritual purification - but using energy rather than water. You’ll experiment with drawing energy through your body and enjoy ‘playing’ with your own energy field and practice sensing the energy field of others. We’ll use reiki energy in a group healing and if there’s time we’ll join together in sending healing energy outwith the group.

Suitable for absolutely anyone but aimed at those with little or no experience of working with reiki.

'Meditation with Jason Munnelly'

You will be led in a powerful woodland meditation that taps into the vast tree energy; encouraging you to reconnect with yourself, practice deep healing and creates a space within for your soul to speak its desires. Together let us use this sacred time, and the light of summer to embrace change, encourage growth and show gratitude for the opportunities this time has to offer. After our meditation we will wind our way through the woodland back to the fire, the heart of the day and draw together to be nourished by food, a delicious plant based curry made with so much love for you and packed with the fruits of our earth, and warmed by the fire and the magic of community. We will end the day gathered around the warmth of the fire for conversation and to share our thoughts and feelings about the day and what came up for us. This is what really connects us a humans. Time to connect with craft, nature, other people and most importantly, ourselves.
